The next phase of bookings for BMW iX SAV is slated to begin in the first quarter of 2022

BMW launched its first all-electric SAV(Sports Activity Vehicle) - iX yesterday in the country. Today the automaker announced that the car has been sold out. The first phase of the bookings received an overwhelming response from customers across India. The bookings had commenced yesterday itself. It was done either through the nearest BMW dealerships in the country or via shop.bmw.in. The deliveries of the first batch of cars are slated to begin from April 2022. As for the second phase of bookings, it will begin in Q1 2022.

The all-electric SAV is priced at Rs 1.16 crore (ex-showroom). It will be brought to the country via the CBU route. The SAV is offered in a total of two variants namely xDrive 40 and xDrive 50. However, India gets only one variant as of now and that is xDrive 40. Performance-wise, the BMW iX is powered by two electric motors - one on each axle. The car further generates a combined power of 322 bhp and a peak torque of 630 Nm. Moving on, the electric motor is powered by a 76.6 kWh battery pack which further offers a maximum range of 425 km (WLTP cycle). The electric SAV can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in a mere 6.1 seconds.

The BMW iX electric SAV rivals the likes of Mercedes Benz EQC and Audi e-Tron in the luxury EV segment. The automaker is offering a complete package for loan, insurance, and vehicle services specially designed for the BMW iX. These benefits include flexible and customized ownership plans like BMW 360 degree, 100% financing of accessories, roadside assistance, and attractive offers to trade-in/upgrade to a new BMW before the end of the contract.
